Alpine hills of course make for great dryland training and BMA lives right on the hill. For the winter season BMA Nordic has an on-campus sprint loop, and is across the road from the Kingdom Trail System which is maintained jointly by Burke Mountain Corp., Kingdom Trails and Burke Mountain Academy. We have recently cut and mowed a new training and racing short course which is ideal for specific interval work-outs, technique video, and sprint competition. We share access to an additional 25 k of groomed terrain.

The school’s Glover Training Center offers a simple but modern weight and training gym, with a trainer’s office and rehab facility. The gym is available at all times to the teams, which further encourages independence and time management by the athletes (any heavy lifting, which is not common in the Nordic regimen is supervised and spotted).

The team has recently moved into its own wax room: heated, ventilated for hot waxing, and brightly lit.

Burke Mountain Corporation makes early snow, and we are able to use lower trails and ski-backs for specific Nordic workouts. In addition, BMA skiers often take advantage of the great trail system at Craftsbury, frequently joining up with other Junior programs there to stage time-trials or other joint workouts.
